What is AI voice cloning?

Voice cloning is the process of replicating or synthesizing a person's voice, typically from audio samples, to create its digital replica which can be used to generate speech for various purposes, such as presentations, podcasts, audiobooks, and video voiceovers.

What is the difference between Instant and Professional Voice Cloning?

Instant Voice Cloning (IVC) quickly replicates your voice from short audio samples, though with lower quality. Professional Voice Cloning (PVC) requires a minimum of 30 minutes of audio data for training and produces a voice replica that's very faithful to your original voice. For best results, upload clean audio files of only you speaking without background noise, music, or other sound effects.

Can I clone any voice?

You may only clone your own voice or a voice you have the rights to clone. For added security, when creating a Professional Voice Clone we require users to complete a Voice Captcha mechanism by reading a text prompt within a specific time to confirm your voice matches the training samples you upload for training. If there’s a match, your request is sent for fine-tuning. If not, you’ll have to reach out via our help center to have your voice verified manually.

How long does it take before my AI voice clone is ready?

With Instant Voice Cloning your voice replica is ready immediately. With Professional Voice Cloning it usually takes between 2 - 4 hours. You'll be notified once your voice clone is ready.

How much audio is needed to produce a high quality voice clone?

We recommend using Professional Voice Cloning to create the perfect voice replica: the minimum here is 30 minutes; 3 hours is optimal. Instant Voice Cloning (IVC) offers a swift and convenient method to replicate your voice using audio samples as short as 1 minute, although with comparatively reduced quality. In both cases, results are best if uploaded files comprise clean audio files containing a single speaker with no background noise, music or other effects.
